Our Classes

Our CPR training is inclusive of automated external defribrillator training, 1- and 2-person rescuer techniques, team dynamics, the use of bag valve mask devices (ambu bags for manual resuscitation), CPR manikins for the compression of adults, children and infants. We also incorporate training for choking victims. Our classroom location can accommodate large groups as well.

Class Info & Pricing

All successful students will receive their American Heart Association card valid for two years via e-card to their designated email address provided at the start of each class. All CPR cards will be provided via e-card once the student attends the CPR course/clinical at our office or designated location

All classes paid online will be assessed a $10 processing fee if cancelled. Please review our policies page regarding “Refund of Payment” prior to making any payments. By submitting a payment online you acknowledge you accept the policies of Traverse Mobile CPR, LLC.

Where We Train

We train at our office location at 28116 Orchard Lake Rd., Suite 150 in Farmington Hills, MI. In addition we are a mobile service and will travel to your location for groups of 8 people or more. We offer special group rates and discounts. All of our instructors have experience training a diverse audience to include physicians, nurses, physical therapist, EMT’s paramedics, dentists, personal trainers, office staff, teachers, daycare workers, skilled laborers, technology professions, bus drivers, students and anyone. We are the preferred provider for many of the university and healthcare programs in the Detroit Metro Area.

When We Train

We offer training classes at our Farmington Hills, MI location. Training is from Monday through Saturday at our office.

We provide onsite training at your location for groups of 8 people or more that is convenient to your schedule.

 Heartsaver First Aid CPR AED Course Overview

Heartsaver First Aid CPR AED teaches participants how to give first aid, perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation, and use an automated external defibrillator safely and effectively. The course is offered in three training formats: blended learning, classroom training, and self-directed learning.

Two course options are available:

Heartsaver Total meets OSHA and regulatory requirements with comprehensive training, while 

Heartsaver Basic offers a more flexible option that does not meet regulatory requirements.

What does this course teach?

Heartsaver First Aid CPR AED teaches the lifesaving skills of first aid, CPR and AED including:

  • First aid basics

  • Medical emergencies

  • Injury emergencies

  • Environmental emergencies

  • Preventing illness and injury

  • Adult CPR and AED use

  • Choking help for an Adult, Child or Infant

  • Drowning response and prevention

  • Opioid-associated life-threatening emergencies

  • Optional modules in Child CPR AED and Infant CPR

 CPR for schools and workplace

CPR for school and workplace focuses on a hands-only approach to CPR. This cardiopulmonary resuscitation is generally recommended for use on teens and adults who collapse. This class is for the general population who wish to learn the skill but do not have a need for certification.  It's easy to learn, easy to teach, and can help your faculty, workplace members and students save a life. CPR training certification is not provided through this course.

 BLS for Healthcare Providers

Basic Life Support (BLS) Course Overview

American Lifesavers offers BLS courses through AHA, American Red Cross and HSI and trains participants to promptly recognize several life-threatening emergencies, give high-quality chest compressions, deliver appropriate breaths and ventilations, and provide early use of an AED. The course reflects science and education from the 2025 American Heart Association Guidelines for CPR and Emergency Cardiovascular Care (ECC).

What does this course teach?

  • High-quality CPR for adults, children, and infants

  • BLS concepts from the Chain of Survival

  • Delivering effective breaths or ventilations

  • Importance of early use of and how to use an AED

  • Performance as an effective team member during multirescuer CPR

  • Relief of foreign-body airway obstruction (choking) for adults, children, and infants

 Advanced Adult Cardiac Class (ALS)

Advanced Life Support (ALS) training builds on your BLS skills to ensure that the patient’s high demands for care are met.  This course requires the BLS certification as a pre-requisite and is designed for an in-person and blended learning experience.  This class features science-based curriculum and personalized instruction. ALS classes focus on medically complex cases requiring advanced medical interventions. This certification is valid for two years

 Pediatric Advance Adult Cardiac Classes (PALS)

Our Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) training is designed specifically for children and infants.  This course uses a science-based curriculum with scenario-based approach.  This course will help you use your critical thinking skills to deliver competent care to children and infants.  This course requires BLS certification and offers a two-year certification.

Babysitting

This babysitting and childcare training class with certification will prepare you to become a valued, capable, trusted and in-demand sitter in your community.  According to the American Red Cross, “8 in 10 surveyed parents said they would pay more for a trained babysitter who holds Red Cross babysitting certifications”.  Babysitting is not just for the teen next door anymore, it is the window to learning professional skills, becoming accountable, starting, and growing a professional, respected business that is in high demand.

Workplace Safety with AED/CPR/Bloodborne Pathogen

The Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) Bloodborne Pathogens Standard require training for employees who may potentially be exposed to human blood or bodily fluids. American Lifesavers course meets OSHA requirements and gives participants the knowledge required to help protect them from the transmission risks of bloodborne pathogens. Learning Objectives 

• Define bloodborne pathogens. • Identify the bloodborne pathogens of primary concern. 

• List the ways bloodborne pathogens can enter a person’s body. 

• Describe the importance of personal protective equipment (PPE) and hand-washing in reducing the risk of bloodborne pathogens transmission.

 • Identify work practices that help eliminate or reduce the risk of exposure.

 • Learn how to remove disposable gloves properly. 

• List procedures to follow if exposure occurs. Features and Benefits
